Article 5

Well today is suppose to be the official day we start waiting for our TA! Hopefully we will hear something in the next 3 weeks. While I been waiting to meet little Emma Lin, I am tring to image what she will be like. So I decided to make a list of guesses from her pics what she will be like and compare the list when she comes home to see how right or wrong I was.
Well first I definitely think she is a happy baby
she likes attention and is proud when she does something
she lets you know when she does not like something with a pouty face
loves to hold things in her hands
friendly and likes people
she is going to be full of energy
likes to get her way
wont like to share
Well hopefully next month I will know if I am right or wrong.
All I know is that whatever kind of personality She has I just can't wait to meet her and hold her in my arms. Time is going by so slow and I can't wait to meet my baby!

Well Emma's room is almost complete. Just a few little things to add. I want to add some pics of her and Ryan and I. Her bedding is almost complete. Just waiting for the bumpers to get done. I think it turned out really nice. I like to go in at least once a day to look at it. I hope she likes it.

our quite little birthday dinner in honour of Emma Lin

My sister Debbie and nephew Nicky along with Bill went out to dinner tonight to celebrate Emma's Birthday. We went to a local Chinese restaurant. When I told the lady working at the counter why we were her she got very excited. She couldn't of been more happy for us. She thought Emma was so beautiful but looked liked a boy ( I am pretty sure she meant it as a compliment). She taught me a few more Chinese words and even gave the right way to pronounce Emma Chinese name. Qi sounds like a hard T and Fu pretty much sounds the way it is spelled. Gave me some tips on the food in China and wants me to bring Emma in when we get her home. The night was nice. My parents were on vacation and couldn't be there but Emma got her first birthday presents. My parents got her a charm bracelet. My sister and Nicky got her a Phillie Phantic onesie and Phillies slippers. We had birthday cake for dessert and my husband bought a card for her scape book. The day was nice, but would of been better if we were together.

Happy Birthday Emma Lin!

Today is our little girls birthday. She celebrated it yesterday our time. We were so fortunate to get some great pics of her celebrating her 1st birthday. They even put a bib on her that I sent out to her in her care package, that read Happy 1st birthday. It might of been to tight around her neck with the snow suit they had on her, but I am grateful. Her cake looks beautiful and wow the fruit they put out, they must of been feeding an army. I wonder what the round brown fruit is? It really helps with the waiting to know that she is happy whee she is and really looks well taken care of. Every picture I got of her since she was 11 months old she has something in both hands at all times. The one doll in the pic she seems to like I sent that to her before.I wonder how the transition is going to be, she seems really adjusted and well taken care of where she is? It's 10 pm china time, she is probeley fast asleep after partying all day. I wish I was there to tuck her in and read her a bedtime story. June cannot get her quick enough. I miss her so much. Happy Birthday Emma Lin this time next year you will be home with you mommy and daddy and we just can't wait.

Earthquake

I am sure everyone's heard by now about the earthquake in China. Let me first say that Emma's province is no where new where the quake hit. As far as we know she is ok. With that being said, I am so said for the people of China. There medical care is not the best, they don't have equipment to help find people buried. I can't help to be said and worried for all the people there. Let's say a prayer that no more people will die and everyone hurt will make a full recovery. From what I read so far there are a couple orpahnges in the area where the quake hit. The one article that i read said 3 babies were taken to the local hospital but all they really have there are bandages. For any family's that may be adopting a child from this area, we are praying for you that you hear some news about your baby and that they are ok. This is so sad for everyone. I really hope these quakes stop happening so many people and countries have been affected by this.

Visa Paper

One more thing to check off the list. Emma Visa Paperwork came today. Now this and her I-800 will be sent off to China. Next is Article 5 then TA. I can't take this much longer. Please say a prayer that they come soon. My socail worker seems to think it will be another 2 months. I don't think I can wait that long. On a lighter note. Some of Emma funiture came today. It looks really good in her room. Now I am just waiting for her Crib and nightstand to arrive and I will post some pics.
